Vermont Technical College Spring Open House Is April 19
RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt- Vermont Technical College's academic programs will be showcased at a spring open house on the main Randolph Center campus on April 19.
Visitors will get the chance to learn more about the college's hands-on approach to learning at the open house from 3-6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. All prospective students attending the open house may enter a drawing to be held that day to win a new laptop computer.
Registration and an opening reception are scheduled from 3-3:30 p.m. in Judd Gym. From 3:30-5:30 p.m. prospective students may meet with program faculty, attend informational sessions on topics such as financial aid, and enjoy campus tours. The open house concludes with a free dinner in Morey Dining Hall at 5:30 p.m.
Vermont Tech offers thirty bachelor and associate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines. Engineering technology degrees are available in aeronautical, architecture, civil and environmental, computer, electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical. Allied health programs include nursing, respiratory therapy and dental hygiene.
Other major programs are automotive technology, business, construction practices and management, dairy farm management, information technology, landscape development and ornamental horticulture, software engineering, and veterinary technology.
New programs for this fall include bachelor degree programs in Dental Hygiene, Equine Studies, and Sustainable Design and Technology. Two new associate degree programs welcome their first class of students this fall. Those majors are in Fire Science and in Diesel Power Technology.
