The sofi Awards from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) honor the best food and beverages that the specialty food trade has to offer.
Bove's of Vermont has been awarded a Silver sofiTM for their Sweet Red Pepper Sauce in the Outstanding Pasta Sauce category. "It is truly an honor to be recognized by NASTF," said Mark Bove, President and "Sauceboy" of Bove's of Vermont. "This business is a true labor of love and we are just honored to have so many great customers and friends who support us and enjoy the products that we create." In 2001 Bove's Vodka Sauce took home a gold sofiTM in the Outstanding New Best Seller category. Putting the spotlight on all categories of specialty food, including chocolate, cheese, olive oil, and USDA-approved organic products, the sofiTM awards are a coveted industry honor. During four days of judging this spring at NASFT offices in New York, a national panel of specialty food experts selected 150 sofiTM Silver Finalists from a record 2,091 entries. There are 32 award categories. Submissions were judged on attributes including quality, taste, innovation, packaging, ingredients and pricing.
