Approximately six months since the completion of the merger of Finowen and GAW High-Speed Internet Service, GAW has announced that equipment upgrades have been made to the Hauger Hill transmission site located in Thetford, Vermont. The upgrade is the first of many that the company will make to its Upper Valley Network and the rest of its networks system-wide including sites recently completed in Morrisville and Albany. This initial upgrade will impact more than 30 percent of the Upper Valley customer base with speeds up to 6mb and a new digital voice service offering unlimited local and long distance calling.
‘We’re really excited about this upgrade as it is an important part of our overall network by helping to bridge our southern and northern Vermont operations,’ said Josh Garza, CEO of GAW High-Speed Internet. ‘Though perhaps the more important aspect is that we’re going to be able to extend our services to more customers over time while providing a service level that more often than not exceeds that of DSL and some cable providers,’ he continued.
With the upgraded service, users of the legacy Finowen network will more than triple their online speeds allowing for enhanced services such as Digital Voice Service, the GAW version of a Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP. Users will be able to call anyone, anywhere in the US for as long as they want when they want for a flat low fee. When bundled together, the new high-speed Internet service bundled with Digital Voice Service cost only $59.95.
Morrisville Area
GAW also has announced that equipment upgrades have been made to the Morrisville Area Network serving areas including Morrisville, Elmore, Lake Elmore, Hyde Park and parts of Stowe. The upgrade is the first of many that the company will make to its Morrisville service area and the rest of its networks system-wide including sites recently completed in Thetford and Albany. This initial upgrade will impact more than 110 customers with speeds up to 6mb and a new digital voice service offering unlimited local and long distance calling.
With the upgraded service, users of the legacy PowerShift network will more than triple their online speeds allowing for enhanced services such as Digital Voice Service, the GAW version of a Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP. Users will be able to call anyone, anywhere in the US for as long as they want when they want for a flat low fee. When bundled together, the new high-speed Internet service bundled with Digital Voice Service costs only $59.95.
Getting the new upgraded service will require new equipment to replace the existing customer equipment costing $99. While a necessary charge, 75% of the typically $399 standard (re)installation fee is being subsidized by GAW in an effort to keep last mile customers online and lessen the customer’s financial burden. The company has also developed two ways where customers can get their installation free: bundle their basic Internet service with the GAW Digital Voice Service and a standard 3-year agreement or refer two customers that become GAW subscribers. Either way, both options lead to a free (re)installation.
Installations are on a first come, first served basis, so contacting the company at 877.543.8429 is highly recommended given expected demand. More information can be obtained at www.GAW.com or by emailing [email protected].
