MVP Health Care raises more than $104,000 for United Way organizations

MVP Health Care coworkers raised more than $104,000 for United Way organizations across MVPâ s footprint in New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. More than 25 percent of MVP coworkers contributed to the campaign by signing up for payroll deduction, making a one-time gift, and/or participating in raffles.
â I am very proud that Team MVP again came together to support our communities,’said David W Oliker, MVPâ s President and CEO. â Raising money is challenging in the current economic climate, but MVPâ s coworkers recognize that tough times mean that the organizations and agencies funded by the United Way are providing increasingly critical services and support.â
MVP has had a long association with the United Way and regularly runs employee contribution campaigns. The contributions raised in each of MVPâ s regional offices support the United Way in that community. The annual campaign is part of MVPâ s culture of corporate social responsibility, demonstrating MVPâ s commitment to having a positive impact on the health and wellness of the members and communities we serve.
This yearâ s campaign was co-chaired by Patrick Glavey, Acting Executive Vice President of Government Programs and Rochester Operations, and Dan Sauer, Vice President of Sales. Sauer is also chair-elect for the United Way of the Greater Capital Regionâ s Board of Directors.
â The support we have received from MVP Health Care and its employees this year has been exceptional. These gifts will make lasting changes for hundreds of people in the Greater Rochester area,’said Peter Carpino, President, United Way of Greater Rochester.
â MVP is one of the most generous companies in our community and helps us assure that programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Boys and Girls Clubs, Meals on Wheels and the homeless and domestic violence shelters have the funding they need to help people who really need help in our community,’said Brian Hassett, President and CEO, United Way of the Greater Capital Region.
