Manchester Business Incubator 2020 Committee seeks community input

The Incubator 2020 Committee is tasked with creating an environment in the Manchester area that will serve as a catalyst for small or new businesses. The ideas relating to what that environment can and should be abound.

Broadly speaking, the community and the Committee seek to create a climate in which entrepreneurs and independent artists and artisans can work while being a part of a vibrant, place-based network, a culture fostering growth and success. But what exactly that means, the needs of the potential users, which needs the community wants to see met, and how that is to be done are still open questions. Are we to create a true incubator (a place where entrepreneurs can find work space, support services, mentoring opportunities and maybe even venture capital)? A co-working space? A mentoring space? A value-added food production and/or manufacturing support facility? All of the above in combination or do we take a laser-focused approach?
To help refine the vision for the Incubator, the Incubator 2020 Committee is launching a web-based survey open to all members of the community who have an interest in seeing this adventure realized. This survey is a giant step in helping to determine what will be.
The survey is open through October 12. It can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/incubator2020 . For further information, please visit http://incubate2020.wordpress.com or email John Conte at [email protected].
