StartupVT is a statewide program for the benefit of entrepreneurs, supported by entrepreneurial champions across Vermont. It is focused on creating and strengthening Vermont’s business ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs with their communities, peers and the resources they need to succeed. The immediate call to action is building a list of interested parties; from champions to participants and mentors.
This initiative is about helping entrepreneurs move from idea, to product, to market. The calendar will include full weekend, in-person events, podcasts, hangouts and entrepreneurial StartupVT Roundtable events, as well as subject-matter StartupVT Huddle’s, the goal is to make it easy to participate, easy to learn and easy to share.
"I've chosen Vermont not only as a place to start a business, I've chosen it as the place I want to live. There is a lot of support in the Middlebury area for new businesses, while startup friendly, among the challenges is finding capital. I look forward to StartupVT providing a strong ecosystem to help with this among other challenges" - Colin Davis, co-founder, Shacksbury Hard Cider Company, Middlebury VT.
What we need is your help; artisans, farmers, brewers, technologists, consumer goods designers. - if you are passionate about a business idea, please join in! And, on the champion and mentor side, we need marketers, ideators, innovators, facilitators, finance, legal and all business service providers, all with an entrepreneurial mindset.
