The Weekend' is almost here

WCAX-TV will begin airing weekend morning news this Saturday and Sunday. "The Weekend" will be anchored by Vermont native Julie Kelley. Kelley returns to her home state after being an anchor and reporter in New York, Louisiana and Virginia. "I am delighted to return to the Green Mountain state and tell the stories of our region," said Kelley, who graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy and Syracuse University.
"The Weekend" will be the place for the latest news, weather and fun. "Our viewers have busy schedules and they want news and weather seven days a week," WCAX News Director Anson Tebbetts said. "'The Weekend' will keep the public better informed of breaking news, sports and that all-important weekend weather forecast through new content and relevant hometown reporting," Tebbetts said.
Kelley will be joined by weather forecaster Nick Borelli each Saturday and Sunday morning from 8 to 9 a.m. on WCAX-TV. Reporter and Producer Cat Viglienzoni will also make contributions to the broadcasts. Also joining "The Weekend" team is photographer and producer Darin Boutet.
WCAX-TV is the CBS affiliate in Burlington, VT and is owned and operated by Mt. Mansfield Television, Inc.
