Campaign for Vermont announces Grassroots Advocacy Team

The independent, non-partisan coalition Campaign for Vermont today announced the formation of a new Grassroots Advocacy Team.
Throughout the summer, the seven-member team, with Partners of Campaign for Vermont, will be participating in community events such as parades, festivals, fairs and field days to encourage more Vermonters to join Campaign for Vermont’s effort to transform state government with transparency and advance policies that will help build an economy where every Vermonter is secure and can prosper.
‘Our Grassroots Advocacy Team is the next step in expanding our independent coalition of Vermonters dedicated to achieving transparency in state government and building an economy where no Vermonter is left behind,’said Campaign for Vermont founder Bruce Lisman. ‘We’ll be traveling all over Vermont and encouraging more Vermonters to support our state’s fastest growing grassroots organization. When the Legislature returns in the New Year we’ll be prepared to advocate for real and meaningful change in Montpelier.’
The Grassroots Advocacy Team is made up of young Vermonters with a range of experience and expertise. Some have worked for Democrat politicians; others have worked for Republicans and independents, including Senator Bernie Sanders. Others have experience in other disciplines, such as design and marketing. They all are passionate about addressing Vermont’s most pressing challenges.
‘We’ve got a great advocacy team assembled,’Lisman said. ‘Each of them is dedicated to working to make Vermont a better place to live and work and encouraging many more Vermonters to lend their name to our effort to transform state government.’
Campaign for Vermont will be introducing its Grassroots Advocacy Team members in video vignettes posted on their Facebook page. Please see
