Union Bank named USDA 2013 rural development lender of the year

David Silverman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank, has announced that Union Bank was named as the highest volume, state-approved Guaranteed Housing Loan Program lender for the fiscal 2013 year. The award was presented at an event hosted by Stephen Kendall, Senior Vice President for Union Bank at the Bank’s Loan Center in South Burlington. USDA Guaranteed Housing Loans help residents buy homes without a down payment requirement, often the
largest stumbling block to home ownership.

The award was presented to Kendall by Jon-Michael Muise, Area Director, USDA Rural Development.
