The staff at Mountainview Medical/Central Vermont Oncology and the National Life Cancer Treatment Center invite area residents to join them in celebrating National Cancer Survivors’Day on Sunday June 2 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Vermont-based Patrick Fitzsimmons will play in concert at 1:30 p.m. He is a critically acclaimed singer songwriter who has been called ‘one of the most captivating songwriters around today,’by Relix Magazine. Patrick’s sixth CD ‘Hope Is,’is his definitive statement after a victorious battle with cancer. The title is directly inspired by the Emily Dickinson poem, "Hope Is the Thing With Feathers" but the album's emotional content is grounded in powerful real life events.
The guest speaker at the 2:30 p.m. Celebration Ceremony is Kathy Murphy-Moriarty.
There will also be a Lilly Oncology Art Exhibit and a surprise choral performance.
Meet the staff and enjoy refreshments.
