Kilawatt Technologies has great pleasure to announce the first quarter results for 2013 of the Energy and Environment Management Project with Vermont Mutual Insurance Group.Vermont Mutual achieved a 34 percent Reduction in Thermal Energy consumption. In addition, they achieved more than a 31 percent reduction in electrical energy consumption.
This equates to a fuel oil burn for their building of 0.05 Gallons per Square Foot for the month of February.For 2012 as a whole, Vermont Mutual achieved a total energy reduction of almost 21 percent for the year.
The 2012 total energy savings represented 106 TONS of carbon footprint reduction for Vermont Mutual. This is equivalent to flying 20,000 miles a month, or flying almost 10 times around the earth in a year.
Based on the Kilawatt Technologies latest statistical modeling using the multidimensional data base amassed for this building, there have been identified some strategic issues that, when addressed, will likely result in another double digit reduction.
