Turner Toys & Hobbies, a Vermont-based company that specializes in selling ‘ the toys we grew up with,’ is pleased to announce the opening of their new warehouse store to better serve Chittenden County with the unique, high quality toys they have been selling online since 1998. Turner Toys & Hobbies is also expanding their hobby selection to offer the ‘ staples’ of the hobby industry that can be used across multiple hobbies.
Turner Toys & Hobbies president Peter Sloan bought the company in 2011 with his wife, Elizabeth Skinner, because they wanted their children and others to be able to play with the same imaginative, top quality toys that they enjoyed as children. He said: ‘ With the closing of Learning Express and VT Toy & Hobby in Essex, it made sense to make our inventory of classic toys, wooden toys and educational toys available locally as well as online.’
Turner Toys & Hobbies carries toys such as wooden blocks, log cabin building sets, yo-yo’ s & spinning tops, wooden trains, puzzles, brainteasers, riding toys, rocking toys, flying toys and more.
Sloan notes that many of the products Turner Toys & Hobbies carries are made in the USA and are appreciated by both parents and grandparents searching for authentic, hands-on toys that kids can enjoy away from TV and computer screens.
Families can shop locally at Turner Toys & Hobbies warehouse location in Essex Junction, VT or online at www.turnertoys.com. If Vermonters purchase online, they can opt to have purchases shipped directly to them or they can pick up at the warehouse location, 57 River Rd.(above Planet Fitness) in Essex Junction.
