Norwich University online named among best by US News & World Report

Norwich University officials have announced that four of its online programs have been ranked as one of the best in US News & World Reports 2013 rankings of online programs.
Established in 1997 with the launch of its first online masters degree program in diplomacy and military science, the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies and its online delivery platform, Norwich University Online, extend the Norwich academic model to approximately 1,200 current students - working adults and lifelong learners from around the world.
As early adopters of online education, our online programs build upon Norwich Universitys nearly 200 year tradition of education innovation, said Dr. Bill Clements, vice president and dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies. I am pleased that US News & World Report has recognized four of Norwich Universitys online bachelors and masters programs for the exceptional faculty, student engagement and services we provide to our students.
Of particular note:
· Norwich Universitys online bachelors degree program, the bachelors of science in strategic studies and defense analysis (BSSSDA), was ranked #26 of 213 schools, or in the top 15 percent in 2013. This ranking takes into account these areas: faculty credentials and training; student engagement and assessment; student services and technology.
· Norwich Universitys online MBA program was ranked #46 of 197 schools, or in the top 25%. This ranking takes into account these areas: admissions selectivity; faculty credentials and training; student engagement and accreditation; student services and technology.
· Norwich Universitys online nursing masters program was ranked #29 of 96 schools, or in the top third. This ranking takes into account these areas: student engagement; faculty credentials and training; admissions selectivity; student services and technology.
Additionally: Norwich Universitys online civil engineering masters program was ranked #24 of 66 schools, or in the top 40%. This ranking takes into account these areas: peer reputation; student engagement; faculty credentials and training; student services and technology.
