Vermont Public Service Department: Next meeting of Energy Generation Siting Policy Commission January 11

The next informational meeting of the Governors Energy Generation Siting Policy Commission will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. in the Pavilion Auditorium, 109 State Street, Montpelier, Vermont. The agenda for the meeting will cover perspectives on the Commissions charges from additional stakeholders including citizens, activists, and legislators. The Commission will begin deliberations from 1:00 4:00 p.m. that same afternoon in the Giga Conference Room, 3rd floor, VT Public Service Department. The Commission will continue deliberations on January 15, 9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. at St. Leos Hall in Waterbury and again February 5, 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. in the Calvin Coolidge Conference Room, 6th Floor Agency of Commerce and Community Development.
The Commissioners will also be visiting energy generation projects, followed by evening public hearings, in January and February. Public participation is limited at the site visits, but video recordings of each site visit will be posted to the Siting Commissions website. Public participants will be decided by lottery at the Commissions January 11th meeting. Any individual wishing to participate in a site visit may submit their name once, either at the start of that meeting (ballots will be provided) or by email to [email protected] by 4 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 with the following information:

Individuals selected by lottery to attend each site visit are responsible for their own transportation to sites.
Public hearings on the Commissions charges will be held from 5-7 p.m. the evenings of the site visits in the following locations:
January 23: Brattleboro Union High School, 131 Fairground Rd., Brattleboro
January 30: Aiken 102, Rubenstein School, University of Vermont, 81 Carrigan Drive, Burlington
February 12: Lowell Graded School, 52 Gelo Park Rd., Lowell
