People's Bank makes donations to Bennington, Chester community groups

Peoples United Bank announced today that they have made a $2,000 donation to Bennington Project Independence. The funding will support Phase II of their Adult Day Health Center facility on historic Harwood Hill.

We are pleased to provide this donation to Bennington Project Independence, said Shelley Colvin, Financial Service Manager and Market Manager for Peoples United Bank. Bennington Project Independence is a great resource in our community.

Peoples United Bank announced today that they have made a $500 donation to the Chester-Andover Family Center in Chester, Vermont. The funding will be used to provide more then 60 monthly food packages to families and individuals in need. In addition, the funding will support programs that provide financial assistance for utilities, rent and transportation.

We are pleased to provide this donation to the Chester-Andover Family Center, said Barb LeMire, Financial Service Manager and Market Manager for Peoples United Bank. The Chester-Andover Family Center is a great resource in our community for those in need. The Center provides a hand up, rather than a hand out. They are an organization that helps people help themselves and we are fortunate to have them in our community.
