Early morning transmission outage impacts 4,000 Vermont Electric Co-op Members

Vermont Electric Cooperatives (VEC) control center reports that an early morning outage left approximately 4,000 customers in the Jay/ North Troy area without power for up to 90 minutes. Power was restored to all members shortly after 4:00 am. Line crews were dispatched immediately and are patrolling a section of a transmission line to identify the cause of the fault and perform any necessary maintenance.
VEC members in the following towns were impacted: Albany, Craftsbury, Coventry, Glover, Greensboro, Irasburg, Jay, Lowell, Newport, Troy and Westfield.
