Vermont's first Bitcoin ATM will be unveiled at this year's Tech Jam by Blu-Bin and its partner, PYC. The machine, will be on display for the public at Tech Jam, and then will after the event will be set up at Blu-Bin's Burlington location. Tech Jam was a two-day event held October 24 and 25 in Burlington. According to Blu-Bin, the machine’s new location is an increasingly popular destination for bitcoin enthusiasts.
“We’ve really seen an uptick in the number of people paying us with bitcoin,” stated Daniel Riley,CEOof Blu-Bin. “so we are excited for this new partnership, as it allows us to promote the adoption of this currency with our every day customers, as well as better serving this section of Burlington's diversetech scene.” The bitcoin ATM does not connect to a bank and calls for no PIN code or signing of any sort. The ATM's maker, PYC, created it as an effortless way to convert cash for the virtual currency. This will be the first ATM they have installed outside of New York State, and the company is excited for the expansion and partnership with Vermont's 3D printing shop.
