Center for Cartoon Studies Commencement Speaker: Kazu Kibuishi, illustrator of new Harry Potter covers

The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) Eighth Commencement Ceremony takes place on Saturday, May 17 at 11am, at Northern Stage Theater (at the Briggs Opera House) in White River Junction, Vermont. This year’s speaker is the creator of the bestselling Amulet series and illustrator of the Harry Potter book covers, cartoonist Kazu Kibuishi. A special opening reception for the Thesis Exhibition, featuring the graduating students’ original artwork, will take place immediately following the ceremony. Kazu Kibuishi is the founder and editor of the Flight Anthologies, a critically acclaimed comics series, as well as the creator of Daisy Kutter: The Last Train, a winner of the YALSA Best Books for Young Adults Award, and the bestselling series Amulet. He is also the illustrator of the stunning Harry Potter book covers.
