Vermont peregrines set all-time record

Vermont Business MagazineAs Vermont's peregrines make their way to somewhat warmer and more food-filled places for the winter, we reflect on the 2015 breeding season, where Vermont's population reached a new all-time record high of 49 breeding pairsand producedanew recordof 67 fledglings.

Audubon Vermont's biologists and over 30 citizen scientists monitored the state'spopulation andhelped secure breeding cliffs from disturbance during the critical nesting period.Fivenew breeding pairs were found, and three recently unoccupied sites were reoccupied.
