Cathedral Square names Kim Fitzgerald new CEO

Vermont Business Magazine Cathedral Square has appointed Kim Fitzgerald asits new CEO.For 15 years, Kim has served in many capacities within Cathedral Square, aVermont-based nonprofit organization.In the last three years Kim has heldthe combined role of Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

“I joined Cathedral Square 15 years ago to be part of an organization Itruly believe in,” states Fitzgerald.“Today, I am grateful for theopportunity to lead our amazing team andachieve our vision of creatinghealthy environments where Vermonters have access to affordable homes and thehealth and service supports they need.”

Prior to joining Cathedral Square, Fitzgerald worked for the Vermont Housing Finance
Agency for seven years in the Multi-Family Division as Management Officer.
She currently serves on the Advisory Committee for Champlain Housing Trust
and recently served as Vice President on the ANEW Place Board. ANEW Place is
a non-profit, Burlington based organization committed to providing services
and tools for the homeless to start anew.

Fitzgerald received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Vermont Housing Manager’s
Association for her 19 years of dedication and commitment.Fitzgerald is a
certified Professional in Human Resources, Assisted Housing Manager, Tax
Credit Manager, and RD Manager.

develops and operates communities for seniors and individuals with special
needs. For over 38 years, Cathedral Square has lived up to its mission of
“healthy homes, caring communities and positive aging”, providing housing
with supportive services to over 1,127 residents. As an advocate for a
system that better serves the long term care needs of Vermonters, Cathedral
Square administers SASH (Support And Services at Home) statewide as part of
Vermont’s Blueprint for Health. SASH serves over 4,800 Vermonters. Today,
