Energy efficiency business SuperGreen Solutions comes to Vermont

Vermont Business Magazine Named after the Green Mountains which run throughout its boundaries, the state of Vermont has recently taken on a different meaning of “green:” green energy. Jumping on the opportunity to meet the growing demand for energy efficient solutions around the state where close to one-fourth of all energy consumed is renewable, Michael J Leopold, 56, is introducing SuperGreen Solutions to the state with SuperGreen Solutions South Burlington. Located in South Burlington, Leopold will officially open his location of the business "Entrepreneur Magazine" rated on its 2015 Top New Franchises ranking on June 29.

Providing products and services that include the latest technologies in solar/wind power systems, LED lighting, Indoor climate control and home insulation. Leopold, a former manufacturing engineer and safety manager for a pump/motor manufacturer that supported the chemical, power and nuclear industries, has over six years implementing energy efficient solutions in the private sector. Leopold is a LEED Green Associate with membership in the Vermont Green Building Network and the United States Green Building Council.

“People I talk to are amazed at the myriad ways they stand to cut back their energy use,” said Leopold. “From the kind of lights they use, to the insulation that surrounds their homes, there are so many solutions homeowners and businesses can employ that can not only save money, but save the environment as well.”

Faced with multiple business opportunities, Leopold pointed to a combination of SuperGreen Solutions’ nature as a business that helps protect the environment in conjunction with its connection with United Franchise Group, a system of franchise brands that encompasses over 1,400 franchises worldwide, that made it the opportunity for him.

“I came upon an advertisement for SuperGreen Solutions and, after doing a lot of research, I liked what I heard,” said Leopold. “United Franchise Group has a reputation of success that preceded it, which told me that I wouldn’t be going it alone if I purchased a franchise. I attended a discovery day to learn more about the franchise and, along with my wife, came to conclusion that it held a lot of promise, pushing us to make the decision to join the team.”

For his part, Leopold sees a bright future ahead for his SuperGreen Solutions. He hopes to open three additional SuperGreen Solutions franchises; one serving southern Vermont, one serving New Hampshire and one serving northeast New York.
