Lane closures on I-89 in Milton will be ongoing this week. Northbound closures will go from 7AM to 2PM while southbound closures are scheduled from 10AM to 7PM, Monday through Friday. Southbound traffic is diverted to the northbound lane in Waterbury at Exit 10. A reduction in the speed limit will slow traffic through this work zone. The southbound entrance ramp at Exit 10 is closed between 3PM and 6PM, Monday through Friday. The detour is on Route 2 through Waterbury on to Exit 9 in Middlesex. In Hartford the bridge from New Hampshire is reduced to one lane. Expect delays. Paving from Hartford to Sharon in the northbound lane will cause delays this week.
I-91 still has a paving project from Norwich to Fairlee. This project will reduce the speed limit and cause delays as well as short-term closures in the work zone. A bridge project in White River will have beam insulation over Route 5 this week. Paving on I-91 in Windsor, both northbound and southbound, is causing delays. A bridge project between Exits 2 and 3 in Brattleboro has northbound traffic crossed over to the southbound bridge. Reduced speed limits cause delays during morning and afternoon commuting hours.
Elsewhere around the State
RT 5 has road work that will require lane and speed reductions in four communities. Barton, Irasburg, Coventry and Derby will all see work zones. Drivers should expect short delays.
VT 114 in East Burke Village is closed until June 15 for a bridge replacement project. There is access to local businesses and a bike/pedestrian bridge has been installed.
US 5 in Lyndon and Saint Johnsbury will have one-lane traffic for roadwork. Line striping in Lyndonville and milling and paving in Saint Johnsbury is scheduled this week. Drivers should expect alternating one-lane traffic and look for signed detours.
US 2 in Saint Johnsbury is down to one lane for roadwork. Drivers will encounter delays.
US 5 in Ryegate has reduced speed limits and daily closures which will cause delays.
RT 15 in Johnson has a bridge project. Drivers should expect reduced speed limits in this work zone.
VT 62 has two projects going on. At the intersection of Fisher Road and Airport Road in Berlin there is a signal project that will affect traffic. Route 62 from Berlin to Barre has a paving project will cause lane reductions and slower speeds.
VT 100 in the Waitsfield/Moretown area will have delays caused by a paving project.
VT 12A has road construction and paving from Randolph to Roxbury that will cause delays.
VT 66 in Randolph will have reduced speed limits for a road project. Drivers should expect delays in this work zone.
VT 14 in Royalton has bridge projects that will cause alternating traffic in work zones.
US 4 in Hartford has a project causing short delays.
VT 11 in Andover has a project that will cause delays.
VT 100 from Wardsboro to Jamaica will have alternating one-lane traffic for roadwork this week. Drivers should expect delays.
