Mt Ascutney Hospital adds two to senior leadership team

MtAscutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) is pleased to announce the addition of DrJoseph Perras and Patti Strohla, RN to the Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team. Both individuals offer a high level of energy, expertise and enthusiasm.The Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team is comprised of the CEO and seven senior staff members who guide hospital operations.

In the role of Chief Medical Officer, DrPerras will serve as a bridge between healthcare providers and senior leadership at MAHHC. Dr. Perras first joined the hospital in 2013 as the Medical Director of Hospitalist Services and the Medical Director of Care Management. He previously served as the Interim Section Chief of Hospital Medicine and Medical Director of Care Management at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Perras completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He served 12 months as a chief medical resident and was an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Ms. Strohla will provide day-to-day management for Information Technology, the Quality Department, and Reporting. She was named the Director of Clinical Systems Transformation at MAHHC in 2013 after first joining the hospital as a consultant in 2011. She combines her RN and informatics background to liaison between the worlds of clinical practice and technology. And she brings a strong understanding of the regulatory and political challenges that hospitals face. Before joining MAHHC, Ms. Strohla held a career in law enforcement and as a clinical nurse specializing in Critical Care, Pediatric and Emergency Department nursing. She also served as the Director of Clinical Informatics for a multi-facility healthcare system, and she was a consultant with the Huntzinger Management Group in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
