Vermont Business Magazine At approximately 1200 hours on December 8, 2016, the Vermont State Police in Williston was given information that Jeremiah Sadler, 25, of Barre City, VT, and Kyle Larrabee, 23 of Washington VT, were in the immediate area near the barracks on St. George Road in Williston. Sadler was wanted on an active arrest warrant for being a Fugitive from Justice and Violation of Parole. Larrabee was wanted on an active warrant for Escape Custody-Furlough, with $10,000 bail.

Acting on the supplied information, a Williston VSP trooper located the subjects vehicle at the Dunkin Donuts near I-89 Exit 12. The trooper then approached the vehicle to make contact. Sadler was identified as the driver in a Honda Civic. Larrabee was identified in the front passenger seat. When the trooper approached on foot and indicated that both individuals should exit the vehicle, Sadler immediately drove the vehicle at the responding trooper, nearly striking him with the left front end of the car.

Immediately following, the subjects fled the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts and headed toward Taft Corner at a high rate of speed, travelling through Williston town. The subjects avoided deployed spike strips at the Oak Hill Road and Route 2A intersection by travelling through an adjacent field. The subjects continued on Oak Hill Road, eventually returning to the I-89 Exit 12 southbound on-ramp.
Once on the interstate, speeds approached 80mph. The subjects then exited the interstate at Exit 11 in Richmond, and headed east on Route 2 towards Richmond Village. They entered a parking lot at an office building in Richmond. Upon exiting that area, the subjects struck a Vermont State Police cruiser, causing minor front-end damage.
The subjects then continued east on Route 2, eventually hitting road-spikes set up by Vermont State Police troopers from the Middlesex barracks, at the Waterbury/Bolton town line. Several tires were deflated on the subjects vehicle.
The subjects continued on Route 2 east at about 45 mph, eventually turning south on Route 100 in Waterbury. The subjects then struck a second VSP cruiser in that area, causing minor damage, and continued south on Route 100 to Meadow Road in Warren. Then turned left on North Road/Pony Farm Road eventually to Route 100B north.
As the subjects headed north on Route 100B, Vermont Agency of Transportation plow operators, having heard scanner traffic of the incident, had set up a blockade of Route 100B, with 2 full size plow trucks in the path of the subjects reported travel. The blockade was about 2 miles west of the Route 2/100B intersection. The subjects rammed the blockade, came to a stop, and were taken into custody.
Both Sadler and Larrabee sustained injuries as a result of the collision, and are being evaluated at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. They are currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections for their active arrest warrants.
This incident is under investigation with likely criminal charges.
