Williamstown woman scores big!

Vermont Business Magazine Williamstown woman wins lease on a new Ram truck by correctly predicting score of Patriots game from Midstate Dodge Chrysler Jeep and Ram and 107.1 Frank-fm. Elaine Owen of Williamstown Vermont readily admits that she doesn’t know a lot about NFL Football. “I’m a Fan, I watch the game every once in a while. I love sports, but I wouldn’t consider myself an expert by any means.”

The Williamstown woman was glowing from ear to ear on Monday afternoon when she stopped by Midstate Dodge Chrysler Jeep and Ram on the Barre Montpelier Road to officially be presented with a set of keys to a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck she won a two year lease on after correctly predicting the score of  a Patriots game played earlier this season on September 18th

No Elaine isn’t a Swami, but she was Frank’s Friday Morning Quarterback with Midstate and 1071 Frank-fm that week. She was the correct caller to Frank-fm’s morning host TJ Michaels on Frank’s Big Morning Gig that Friday morning before the game. The opportunity before her was a chance to win a lease on a brand new Ram truck by predicting the correct score of this Patriots-Dolphins Game. Live on the radio station that is the Central Vermont home for New England Patriots Football, Michaels asked Elaine for her prediction. She proclaimed that the Patriots would win the game by a score of 31-24!

Midstate and Frank-fm are offering the chance at a new Ram truck every week of this year’s NFL regular season…that is if you’re the 4th caller on Friday Mornings at 7:50 and can correctly predict the upcoming score of that weeks Patriots Game! Fast forward to Sunday September 18th, While watching the game at her son’s house, she found herself doing something she never fathomed possible.  Praying that the Patriots ace kicker Stephen Gostkowski would miss a late in the game 39 yard field goal. “When he missed, I couldn’t believe it, Everyone in the living room cheered", says Owen.

The Final Score: Patriots 31, Dolphins 24, winning Elaine a lease on a new Ram truck! Midstate Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram owner Mitchell Jay said he’s happy that Elaine won. “I have so many guys telling me if they got the chance to predict the score they’d win 4 or 5 trucks this season. Elaine is the only one that has got it right so far this season and at Midstate we couldn’t be happier for her!”

In that September 18th game, the Patriots jumped out to a quick lead before backup Quarterback Jimmy Garappollo who was filling in for suspended starting quarterback Tom Brady left the game with an injury. Up 31 to 10 the Patriots offense in the second half stalled allowing the Dolphins to come back. “I was on the edge of my seat during that game as I’m guessing most Pats fans were, but it didn’t register with me until I heard them call the final score…I started jumping up and down in my living room, my kids must have thought I’d lost it!” “It’s fun to be able to give away a life-changing prize! Elaine and her husband are good people, we’re so ecstatic for them even though near the end of the game she was technically rooting against the Pats!” said Michaels.

Elaine can drive away in a new truck or take a cash payout worth the value of the 2 year lease from Ram.
