Vermont Business Magazine To commemorate their 25th Anniversary, Ledyard National Bank celebrated its community by honoring five local non-profit organizations. The five non-profits as chosen by the Ledyard employees were The Family Place (Norwich and Hartford, Vermont), The Good Neighbor Health Clinics, The Haven, Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice, and WISE of the Upper Valley. Each organization participated in a contest by creating a 2 minute video that incorporated Ledyard’s tagline, ”Plan well. Live well” and how that tagline fits into their charitable initiatives. Each video was posted on Ledyard’s Facebook page and was voted on by the community for a four week period from October 3rd through October 27th.

On Friday October 28th, a reception celebration was held attended by past and present Ledyard Board Members, employees, community members and media outlets. Ledyard was honored by the presence of Allison Rogers Furbish who was the first to open an account with Ledyard 25 years ago. They were also honored by two of the attendees, Roberta Berner of the Grafton County Senior Citizen’s Council and Peter Christie, Chairman of the Board of the Town of Hanover for their service to the community. The winners of the contest were announced with over $20,000 awarded in total and The Family Place winning the grand prize of $10,000.
The Family Place’s 14th Annual Gingerbread Festival will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10am – 3pm at Tracy Hall in Norwich, Vermont. The Gingerbread Festival is a fun-filled, family-friendly event offering: a display of over 80 Gingerbread Houses, a silent auction of the Gingerbread Houses and other auction items, a store with handcrafts and gift items, a café for a delicious lunch, a gingerbread house making demonstration, cookie decorating and fun activities for children.
