Mt Ascutney Hospital to host 24th annual rehab reunion Sept 21

Vermont Business Magazine Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) will host its 24thannual Rehabilitation Reunion on Wednesday September 21, from 2 to 4 pm. Along with past patients, the public is cordially invited to visit and tour the Rehabilitation Center -- which hosted its Grand Opening last year -- to explore the subsequent opening of the Outpatient Therapies wing and listen to current and former MAHHC patients talk about the course of their rehabilitation as they strive to regain and maintain their optimum level of functionality, independence and quality of life following their initial illness or injury.

“The Rehabilitation Reunion is always a very special event for our former patients, the Hospital and the community,” said Gay Landstrom, Interim President and CEO at MAHHC.  “It’s heartwarming to see so many patients returning to share their tales of triumph over their illnesses and injuries, many of which inspire current patients struggling with the same challenges. It is also meaningful for the staff members who cared for these patients to witness and celebrate their continued progress. These stories are truly touching and remarkable.”

In addition to touring the new Center, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about technological advances and new options for improving patient care and outcomes. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be available. To access the new Rehabilitation Center, bear left at the fork as you come up the driveway. You will pass the Professional Building on your left and the Emergency Entrance on the right. The sign and entrance for the new Rehabilitation Center will be straight ahead.

An RSVP is encouraged and is necessary for anyone requiring special assistance. Please call (802) 674-7088.
