For over 20 years, the charming brick house on College Street (between Willard and Union streets) has been occupied by Lisaius Marketing, a marketing agency that has been quietly producing some of the most recognizable branding work in Vermont. Now, Lisaius Marketing is shedding its original identity and is launching its new brand, Tenth Crow Creative.
Lisaius Marketing, founded in 1993 by Joe Lisaius, had a unique beginning with strong ties in the entertainment and fitness industries. In the early days, Lisaius’ team of designers specialized in designing key art, posters and other collateral for movies and musical artists. That heritage is evident in the office, where colorful posters for Billie Holiday albums and Andy Warhol documentaries are on display. Over the years their work expanded to include branding, marketing and communications strategies and their list of clients expanded to include notable national brands such as Rossignol, IBM, Starz and Gaiam – as well as businesses with strong local resonance like VPR, Speeder & Earl’s, National Bank of Middlebury, Northwestern Medical Center and the Long Trail Brewing Co. family of brands (Long Trail, Otter Creek and The Shed).
Mark Crow, who leads the company as President alongside Jenni Raleigh as Creative Director, inspired the team to put themselves under the marketing microscope, revealing Tenth Crow Creative. The goal of the rebrand is to honor their rich history while revitalizing their sense of purpose and their presence in the local creative scene. On the rebrand, Mark says, “We’re really proud of the excellent work we’ve produced over the years and are excited to continue to apply our high standards for quality and results to new work as Tenth Crow.
