Vermont Business Magazine Vermont’s culture of creativity, do-it-yourself attitude and innovation is renowned – and the world of high-tech and web-based entrepreneurship is no exception. In the new Vermont PBS web series “InnoVaTe,” hosted by Victoria Taylor and produced by Velocity Media, that innovative culture so uniquely associated with Vermont will be explored and celebrated. The six-part series will be available in its entirety on January 19, 2016 at vermontpbs.org and at youtube.com/VermontPublicTV. InnoVaTe will spotlight some of Vermont’s most creative technology entrepreneurs. The show is hosted by nationally recognized social media professional Victoria Taylor, who's helped host more than 2,000 "Ask Me Anything" interviews on reddit.com during her time as the site's director of communications and director of talent. Now at the company WeWork, Victoria has been recognized by LinkedIn as one of 10 top professionals under 35 who are helping shift the digital, cultural and business landscape.
On InnoVaTe, Taylor visits with forward-thinking Vermont businesses in locations across the state. These engaging interviews help make invention and innovation approachable and exciting while highlighting Vermont’s creative culture.
“I’m incredibly humbled, honored and excited to be a part of this new InnoVaTe series with Vermont PBS and Velocity Media,” says Taylor. “While I’ve helped with thousands of interviews before, this is my first time leading them in front of the camera. I was learning while doing these interviews in real-time – and I’m eager to share that experience with our audience! I hope folks enjoy InnoVaTe. If the series catches on, I’d love to come back to Vermont for more.”
Added Vermont PBS CEO Holly Groschner, “This is another exciting digital adventure for Vermont PBS! It’s part of the great story of creativity in Vermont, brought to us through the effervescent and insightful Victoria Taylor. We look forward to sharing this “behind-the-scenes” view with online viewers everywhere.”
