GMP crews restore power to 111,750

  • Crews have restored power to 111,750 homes and businesses
  • 100 additional lineworkers joined more than 500 internal and external lineworkers and tree trimmers
  • Crews will continue working 24/7 to restore power to 8620 remaining without power
  • Updated District/County Area updates now available, with restoration of almost all now a day earlier, by Friday night

Green Mountain Power On the morning of the third day of this unprecedented windstorm, progress continues at a steady clip and an additional 100 lineworkers are joining the response. Crews have restored power to 111,750 customers, while working hard to bring service to the remaining 8,620. GMP is now able to provide updated district/county area level restoration updates and once again extends its sincere appreciation to customers for their patience.

“We are working 24/7 to restore power and appreciate the patience of those still without power, we understand how disruptive it is to be without electricity,” said Kristin Carlson, GMP Vice President of Strategic and External Affairs. “It is so important for everyone to take care of each other to stay safe. If you have any questions or concerns about the safety of the electric system, please contact us.”

While a few customers may remain out until Saturday, Green Mountain Power has new restoration estimates and now expects to restore power to the majority of the remaining customers much sooner, by Friday night. Below is a general timeframe of the latest point customers can expect to see power restored in that area, although many in these areas will have power restored sooner. GMP expects to make a lot of progress today, with thousands restored by the end of Wednesday.

Colchester area: Thursday noon

Middlebury area: Friday night

Montpelier area: Thursday night

Poultney area: Thursday noon

Royalton area: Friday night

Rutland area: Thursday night

Springfield area: Thursday night

St. Albans and Milton area: Friday night

St. Johnsbury area: Wednesday noon

Sunderland area: Wednesday night

Vergennes area: Friday night

Westminster area: Thursday night

White River Junction area: Thursday night
