Vermont Business Magazine The Board of Directors for Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is happy to announce that National Life has become VBSR’s newest Champion Member.“Do good, be goodandmake good. Those are values that National Life aspires to, and they resonate with VBSR and our members,” said VBSR executive director Jane Campbell. “As a mission-driven company, National Life strives to make the world a better place through their charitable foundation, paid volunteer time for employees, environmentally sustainable and healthy work sites, and fun, family friendly events that promote the work of nonprofits in their communities. We are thrilled to welcome National Life as a Champion Member of our organization.”
“We’re delighted to support the good work that VBSR does every day, and to join like-minded businesses that share our values,” said Mehran Assadi, chairman, president and chief executive officer of National Life. “Our commitment to those values is deeply ingrained in our purpose-filled, mission-driven culture. It’s the key ingredient behind our success as one of the fastest growing life insurance companies in the country over the past decade. We call it LOVE – we Live Our Values Everyday.”
Campbell noted that Champion Members are VBSR’s highest level of membership. These members help the organization sustain programming and policy work throughout the year. Because of the high level of visibility involved with this level of support, each Champion Member must be voted on and approved by the VBSR board of directors. National Life was unanimously approved to become VBSR’s 14thChampion Member.
