Hill Farmstead Brewery named Best Brewery in the World

Vermont Business MagazineHill Farmstead Brewery has been named Best Brewery in the World for the year 2016, as well as Best Brewery in the United States and Vermont, by RateBeer, the world’s largest, most popular beer review and rating website. This is the third year in a row and the fourth time in the past five years that the brewery has been honored as Best Brewery in the World, United States and Vermont.

The brewery’s Damon, a barrel-aged imperial stout, was honored as Best Beer for Vermont. Eight of its beers were included in the top 100 beers in the world by RateBeer, and four of its beers were honored in the Top 50 New Releases in the World. In addition, its brewery taproom was once again named Best Brewer Taproom in Vermont. Twenty-six of its beers were honored with medals during a live ceremony in Santa Rosa, CA, including 11 Gold Medals.

The Alchemist's Heady Topper and Focal Banger were also named in the Top 100. Vermont brewers received an astonishing number of awards in various subcategories, including many Gold awards. (SEE LISTS BELOW)

The RateBeer awards are determined solely by the reviews of RateBeer’s millions of active members.
