Created to “to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which [they] may want to ask questions,” the CMSrating systempublishes reports on theNursing Home Comparepage atmedicare.gov. The most recent ratings incorporate data reported throughSeptember30.
“This CMS Five-Star rating is a reflection of the commitment to excellence demonstrated daily by the providers and staff at Menig Nursing Home,” said Gifford President and CEO Dan Bennett. “Their dedication to providing high-quality care for our residents is unsurpassed, and gives the families and caregivers of our residents peace of mind.”
In addition to the Five-Star rating, Menig earneddeficiency-free surveysfrom CMS after a site visit earlier this year. The results made Menig the first nursing home in Vermont to complete a deficiency-free survey under new federal nursing home requirements.
Menig Nursing Home is located atMorgan OrchardsSenior Living Community, which also includesStrode Independent Living. The facilities are led by Ursula Margazano, executive director of the community and Menig administrator.
