WMAs offer hunting opportunities

Wildlife Management Areas Permit Hunting, Fishing & Trapping

Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) are lands that have been protected as wildlife habitat and are openhunting, fishing and trapping. The department's93 WMAsoffer free access to Vermont's wilderness during your favorite hunting season. Since 1919, we have protected more than 140,000 acres now designated as WMAs.
