Vermont Business Magazine MtAscutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) will once again offer flu vaccinations to help residents of the Upper Valley avoid the physical discomfort of flu season. But to help residents avoid waiting in line, MAHHC now offers express appointments during regular business hours on designated flu shot days.
“We want to encourage everyone to receive their shot this flu season by removing any potential inconvenience” says Joseph Perras, President, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of MAHHC. “Flu season typically runs from October to May, with “peak season” between December and February so we urge everyone to take this important step now to help avoid a potential encounter with the flu virus” noted Margaret Worth, RN, CPHQ, CIC Infections Preventionist/Quality Specialist at MAHHC.
Express appointments for vaccinations at MAHHC in Windsor can be made by calling (802) 674-7300. Residents of Woodstock and surrounding communities can make an express appointment to receive their flu vaccination at the Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock by calling (802) 457-3030.
Walk-ins are still welcome for both adults and children at Mt. Ascutney Hospital on Saturday, September 22 from 9 AM to 11 AM and on Thursday, October 11 from 4 PM to 6 PM.
Walk-in vaccinations at Ottauquechee Health Center are available on Wednesday, September 26 from 5 PM to 7 PM and on Saturday, October 26 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
MAHHC encourages everyone to bring their insurance card to insure easy and accurate processing.
