Vermont Insurance Agents Association wins national Diamond Education award

Vermont Business Magazine Vermont Insurance Agents Association was recently recognized by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) with the Excellence in Insurance Education (EIE) Award Diamond Level at the Big “I” Education Convocation in Massachusetts. The EIE awards celebrate and recognize state associations and staff who have made significant contributions to education for their members and the industry in the key area of class offerings, continuing education (CE), professionalism, designation offerings, industry collaboration, planning goals, marketing, resources and more.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for our outstanding education program,” said Mary Eversole, executive director, VIAA. “Our goal is to provide the best insurance education in Vermont with traditional in-person classes and using technology. This is a core service we provide to our members across the state.”

Vermont Insurance Agents Association is a statewide trade association representing 150 independent insurance agencies in Vermont, with nearly 900 employees. VIAA member independent insurance agents represent more than one insurance company, and as a result, can offer clients a wider choice of auto, home, business, life and employee benefits. Founded in 1906, VIAA’s mission is to be an advocate for independent insurance agents and to satisfy the professional needs of its members.
