Governor Scott to speak at Johnson State College commencement May 19

Vermont Business Magazine GovernorPhil Scott will speakMay 19at Johnson State College’s 151st commencement, at which about 310 associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees are expected to be conferred. The11 amceremony will be on the college’s South Lawn. Tent seating for the ticketed ceremony will bereserved for graduating students, their guests, and those involved in the commencement. Other guests may watch the ceremony from the lawn, as it is simulcast at the Dibden Center for the Arts on campus, or online atjsc.edu. Gates will open at9 am, and parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will bethe last commencement for JSC before it officially becomes Northern Vermont University-Johnson in a unification with Lyndon State CollegeJuly 1.After the transition, NVU-Johnson and NVU-Lyndon will continue to host separate commencements each spring.
