Community Bank presents $1,200 donation to Hinesburg library

Vermont Business Magazine Community Bank NA recently presented Carpenter-Carse Library in Hinesburg with a $1,200 donation to fund a local art program. The initiative will team up with local artists and youth to create a set of murals on the outside of the library that are based on favorite books.

“We’re very excited and proud to help our wonderful neighbors, the Carpenter-Carse Library, start a program that will bring a lot of fun and creativity into the library and onto the front of the building,” Community Bank N.A. Branch Manager Peter Crapo said.

Founded in 1810 and moved to its current location in 1997, Carpenter-Carse Library offers people of all ages the equal opportunity to read and learn in a bright, welcoming environment that serves as a community gathering place. It serves residents across Hinesburg and surrounding towns.

"We’re so excited for the combination of art, literature and community that this program will bring,” Carpenter-Carse Library Youth Programming’s Chaya Thanhauser said. “We can’t thank Community Bank N.A. enough for their generous support.”
