New Addison County Visitor Center opening April 24

Vermont Business Magazine The Addison County Chamber of Commerce has announced the grand opening of the new Addison County Visitor Center, located in the Ferrisburgh/Vergennes Train Depot in Ferrisburgh, will occur on April 24.

The new modernized Addison County Visitor Center was designed by Shadow and Light Design of Monkton and features an interactive kiosk where visitors can search restaurants, lodging and points of interest in Addison County. Large video monitors and informational displays will feature Addison County’s arts and culture, recreational and historical attractions.

The Addison County Visitor Center will also feature print and video advertising and brochure distribution.

The new Addison County Visitor Center is funded and operated by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber’s offices are co-located at the Ferrisburgh/Vergennes Depot. Funding for the new Visitor Center was provided by the Chamber and member donations. The Chamber receives no public funds for the Visitor Center.

Located at the intersection of Routes 7 and 22A, the Visitor Center will serve thousands of visitors arriving by Amtrak, bus and car with ample parking, Wi-Fi, restrooms, and is ADA compliant. The Visitor Center will open to the public officially on Monday, April 24th. Hours of operation will be 9:30am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday.

The Chamber hopes to be able to open on Saturdays if funding becomes available in the future.
