Planned Parenthood of Northern New England names Judith Selzer CEO and president

Vermont Business Magazine Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) today announced Judith Selzer as their next CEO & President.

Selzer has more than twenty years’ experience working with the nation’s leading social justice organizations. She served as Chief Strategy Officer for Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central, and Southern New Jersey and as Executive Director for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey.

Prior to Planned Parenthood, Selzer co-founded the Women’s Foundation of Florida, launching their Women on the Run non-partisan campaign training program, and their Girls Leadership Institute, focused on empowering girls to lean into science, technology, engineering, and math.

“Judith brings passion and experience empowering others to make positive and lasting impact on the world around them,” said Margot Milliken, Chair, PPNNE Board of Trustees. “She has a deep understanding of Planned Parenthood, and we are thrilled to have her leadership in this time of extraordinary change. PPNNE plays a significant role in providing and advocating for reproductive health care in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. We are excited to work with Judith charting a course for a promising future for people in our communities.”

As we grapple with a post-Roe world, northern New England is a beacon of hope for what is possible, and I cannot wait to get started.” Selzer officially started in her role on September 12.

Selzer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Smith College, as well as a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Florida Atlantic University, where she has served as adjunct faculty and taught undergraduate courses on Women and Business, Sex and Gender in America, and College Writing.

Selzer takes over from interim CEOs Kai Williams, Senior Vice President of Health Care Delivery, who is now with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and Yvonne Lockerby, PPNNE Vice President.
