Partnership marks nearly $170,000 raised to support the traumatic brain injury community.
Vermont Business Magazine The LoveYourBrain Foundation, a Vermont-based nonprofit, has announced its fourth annual fundraiser in partnership with Revel Bikes. Since 2019, Revel has hosted a bike giveaway to raise funds and awareness for LoveYourBrain, and to date, the celebrated bike company has raised nearly $170,000 for the organization.
To celebrate its fourth giveaway, Revel is donating two bikes from their collection - a Rail29 Mountain Bike and a Rover Gravel Bike. People are invited to donate to LoveYourBrain, a national organization providing free in-community and online mindfulness-based programs for people affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI), including concussion.
"Revel's partnership remains a significant collaboration for the LoveYourBrain community” said LoveYourBrain’s co-Founder and Executive Director, Adam Pearce. “They've raised critical funds to keep our programs free and opened a door for the mountain biking community to connect with us when they need support after a traumatic brain injury - including concussion. We've known Adam Miller, Chris Reichel, and the whole Revel crew to be true champions for TBI awareness and support since 2019, and they continue to do the important work to bring visibility and support to the TBI community."
Studies have shown that cycling causes more TBIs than football. TBI is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, with more than 3 million people in the US and Canada alone sustaining a TBI annually. After a brain injury, people often need to navigate new physical and emotional challenges, yet individuals - including bikers and cyclists - often lack the support to heal. Revel supports LoveYourBrain’s vision to create a world where everyone affected by TBI can be connected to a compassionate community, provided new tools and resources, and supported to reach their full potential.
“Working with LoveYourBrain has been incredibly rewarding for me and the Revel team,” said Revel Bikes’ Founder & CEO, Adam Miller. “I feel so lucky that we’ve been able to raise money to support a cause that is so near and dear to us. We’ve doubled down and are now raffling off two custom purple bikes instead of one this year. I can’t wait to see what our community can do, and I hope this year can be our biggest yet!”
The LoveYourBrain and Revel Bikes campaign runs through November 4th at 11:59pm ET. People can learn more and participate by visiting loveyourbrain.com/revel.
About LoveYourBrain
The LoveYourBrain Foundation is a national non-profit that improves the quality of life of people impacted by traumatic brain injury (TBI) and raises awareness about the importance of brain health. Guided by their family’s experience, brothers Kevin and Adam Pearce established LoveYourBrain in 2014 following Kevin’s severe TBI from a snowboarding accident before the 2010 Olympics. Kevin’s remarkable resilience was transformed into the award-winning HBO Documentary, “The Crash Reel,” which brought to light the challenges and prevalence of TBI. In response, LoveYourBrain developed programs and resources designed to create community and foster resilience for the TBI community. Now, LoveYourBrain’s Yoga, Retreat, and Mindset programs are offered at no cost across the globe to empower the TBI community with new tools, resources, and connections.
