Saturday August 27: Jenna’s House one-year anniversary celebration and open house

The Jenna’s Promise and North Central Vermont Recovery Teams invite members of the press and public to join them for the official one-year anniversary and open house of Jenna’s House

Vermont Business Magazine Jenna’s Promise and the North Central Vermont Recovery Center (NCVRC) are pleased to announce the One-Year Anniversary Celebration of the opening of Jenna’s House Community Center on August 27th, 2022. Located at 117 St. Johns Road in Johnson, Jenna’s House has been a growing center point for Lamoille Valley, serving individuals and families recovering from Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) as well as the community at large.

As a means of thanking the community and partners for their continual and consistent support, the North Central Vermont Recovery Center and Jenna’s Promise will host a day of fun for all at the Jenna’s House Community Center in Johnson. Festivities for this second annual Open House start at 11:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. There will be free local food, live music, lawn games, face painting, recovery workshops, and local VT resources. The day will also include a dunk tank fundraiser, where everyone can take a turn at dunking local community members with a cash donation that will directly support the recovery community.

On the stage inside, there will presentations with special guests, including Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale, members of the NCVRC team, and Jenna’s Promise COO Daniel Franklin. There will also be a Naloxone (Narcan) training. Outside, activities with community partners and volunteers will be ongoing.

Opening ceremonies will start at 11:30 with remarks from Jenna’s Promise founder Greg Tatro, North Central Vermont Recovery Center Executive Director Shannon Carchidi, and other special guests.

“We can’t wait to show you what Jenna’s Promise and NCVRC have accomplished this year together with the community and with great partners. Hope abounds and change is in the air,” Dawn Tatro, founder of Jenna’s Promise, explained. “We are feeling the shift at the grassroots. We are ready for the next stage.”

"As a community we have grown so much over this past year. NCVRC and Jenna's Promise are excited to show you our progress, and all that has grown in our recovery community. We look forward to sharing this day with you and looking brightly toward our ever-changing future," said NCVRC Executive Director Shannon Carchidi.
