Farm First Survey

The folks at Farm First, Vermont’s wellness resource for farmers, are conducting a survey to better understand the physical and emotional challenges that keep farmers from being productive and enjoying their work.
With this information, Farm First can access federal funds to support farmers with accommodations and programing.
For example, a bum knee can be aided by a custom-built step-up for a tractor. Please complete this confidential survey by July 15th – it will just take 2 minutes!
Click here to complete the survey and please contact Andy Grayson with any questions.
Deadline to Complete: July 15th

Free VT and NH Agricultural Mediation Program

The Agricultural Mediation Programs in Vermont and New Hampshire recently expanded the list of approved issues that qualify for free mediation to include easements, contracts, and labor issues.
Recent data from organizations show success rates of over 80% when mediation is tried before resorting to arbitration, litigation, or other dispute resolution methods.
"By nature, farmers are highly resourceful and skilled at solving problems. Yet we’re seeing an increase in complex disputes that leave farmers feeling stretched thin,” Vermont Secretary of Agriculture Anson Tebbetts said. “This service is a lifeline that helps farmers get back to doing what they love.”
