Hot Weather Planning

Northeastern Vermont Development Association It's getting hot out there... Check out the Vermont Department of Health's new community Cooling Site Map. Extreme heat in regions that are not acclimated or prepared can be challenging, and the NEK has some of the highest concentrations of communities vulnerable to heat. Was the map useful? Stay Cool this Summer with Heat Pumps

A heat pump can lower your heating costs considerably and double as a cooling system in the summer. Heat pump systems draw heat from the environment and move it indoors to heat your home or move it outdoors to cool your home. Air-source heat pumps gather heat from the ambient air, while ground-source or geothermal heat pumps extract it from the ground. Heat pump technology has evolved in recent years, enabling this equipment to perform well in cold climates like Vermont. Many incentives available!
