Stowe area businesses to offer special promotions and host events all week long during annual celebration of the U.S. travel industry focusing on “The Future of Travel”
Vermont Business Magazine Stowe Area Association (SAA) is saluting local hospitality from May 1 - 7 during National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), an annual celebration of the contributions of the U.S. travel industry. This year’s theme, “The Future of Travel,” spotlights the critical role that travel plays in helping to restore the workforce, facilitate recovery, foster sustainability, and reconnect travelers in the U.S. and around the world.
Celebrated annually the first full week in May, NTTW was created by Congress in 1983 to elevate the economic power of travel in the U.S. The 39th annual NTTW is a chance to celebrate and highlight those who make our industry what it is: business owners, town leadership, our visitors, and our community.
“Our state’s economy is driven largely by the tourism and hospitality sector, and Stowe wouldn’t be the destination it is without the local industry professionals who make our town so special,” said Carrie Simmons, executive director, Stowe Area Association. “Several area businesses are offering special promotions and hosting events throughout the week, so there’s ample opportunity to support your local friends and neighbors, and celebrate this incredible industry!”
