In addition to the Career Fair, AGC Vermont initiated a new platform to connect prospective employees with employers. It is available for free, for all to search for connections. VermontConstructionJobs.com is an easy-to-remember web address where job seekers can submit their resumes and potential employers can view available candidates to hire. Also listed on the site for job seekers are job openings throughout Vermont by construction companies and related industries.

The interactive site was developed by the Workforce Development Committee of AGC Vermont and has been up and running since January. Chris Magnan President of AGC/VT said, “We are excited about the potential benefits this site will have for both the workers entering our industry and the contractors doing work in Vermont. Connecting the interested parties by way of the interactive site is as simple as logging on and following the directives. Viewing information on available job listings, viewing job videos, and understanding the needs of each job and providing information to potential employers and responding to each is available to all Vermonters by just clicking on the appropriate images. This platform has made access to employment in the Vermont construction industry fast, economical and efficient.”

In addition to the workforce development buildout is information on AGC/VT Training Courses, an events calendar and appropriate links to construction related websites.
