VEOC Annual Meeting recap

Vermont Employee Ownership Center Although our 2021 annual meeting was held virtually, we were able to share an informative and animated evening with the employee ownership community in Vermont. For those who were unable to attend, just click video.

We heard from Justine Belle Lambright, who told the compelling story of how VEOC Executive Director Matt Cropp served as an invaluable resource throughout the 1.5-year process of building Kalchē Wine Co.--a brand new worker-owned winery in Fletcher--from the soil up. Justine also shares a fun video of highlights from Kalchē's first year in business. We think everyone will enjoy it.

This being the VEOC's 20th anniversary, we also took a look at our work over the previous 20 years, and we think the numbers tell a pretty impressive story about the growing momentum in employee ownership interest here in Vermont. And based on what we're seeing so far this year, we're not expecting it to slow any time soon.

We extend an emphatic Thank You to each our board members, our partner organizations, Vermont's employee-owned businesses, and our advocates out in the community for making our work possible these past two decades.
