A Place for Mom surveyed families that started services with home care providers over the past six months. 86% of family caregivers indicated that COVID did not influence their decision to engage with a home care service provider during the pandemic; but was mainly a result of seniors needing care beyond what could be provided by their significant other or by their loved ones. Additionally, almost 9 in 10 families surveyed with a loved one who is currently served by a SeniorAdvisor.com award winning home care provider said they were satisfied/very satisfied with the care their loved one was receiving this past year. Unfortunately, caregiver fatigue became a somber reality with 77% of family caregivers reporting that they have been overwhelmed by the demands of caring for a senior since the pandemic began.
