ACCD: Return to play sports, Stimulus Equity Fund, PPP for childcare

Youth Sports Guidance Update

Governor Phil Scott on Friday announced a path forward for the resumption of organized indoor youth and scholastic sports. Inter-school and squad competition can resume on February 12th with strict guidance in place, including the number of games that can be played in a week, and no spectators will be permitted. The full guidance will be posted on Monday, February 8th.

Paycheck Protection Program for Childcare

Childcare providers, both for profit and non-profit, are eligible for the Small Business Administration's (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). On Monday, February 8th the SBA will host a webinar to speak specifically to this sector and answer any questions providers have about the program. For those who already received a PPP loan, the SBA will also outline second draw PPP loan eligibility. Registration is now open for the webinar.

ACCD Weekly Webinar

ACCD will NOT be holding a weekly webinar next Wednesday, February 10th due to scheduling conflicts. The Agency is interested in collecting suggestions on future webinar topics from those who have attended the webinars in the past in hopes of continuing to provide valuable information to the business community. Food System Strategic Plan 2021-2030

The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund and the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets will release the Vermont Agriculture and Food System Strategic Plan 2021-2030 on Monday, February 8th.

With over 1,500 Vermonters providing input and helping to shape its content over 18 months, the plan lays out a vision, 15 goals, 34 priority strategies, and 276 recommendations for advancing the agriculture and food systems in Vermont. The virtual press conference will be held Monday at 11:00am.

COVID-19 Stimulus Equity Fund

The Stimulus Equity Fund is Vermont's COVID-19 relief fund for those who were excluded from the federal stimulus due to their immigration status. Applications are now being accepted through March 1, 2021. If you were ineligible to receive a 2020 federal coronavirus stimulus payment due to your immigration status, you may be eligible for relief from this program.
