National Life Group CEO Announces Retirement

Montpelier, Vermont (June 10, 2008) - Thomas H. MacLeay announced today that he will retire by year's end as President and Chief Executive Officer of National Life Group(r). MacLeay will remain as Chairman of the Board of the financial services company.

Safety inspectors take more than 100 vehicles and drivers out of service while issuing more than $45,000 in fines during three-day checkpoint

MONTPELIER - Vermont Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers this week took more than 100 vehicles and drivers out of service and arrested four people during a three-day safety check along the Massachusetts border that ended June 5.

ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. - Champlain Valley Exposition, Inc. re-elected five board members and announced its officers for 2008-2009 following its annual meeting held on May 21.
